Many of you have rightly pointed out that the on-board camera video extract of Ayrton Senna inserted in the article relating to the 1988 Monaco Grand Prix actually dated from 1990. Indeed, the Brazilian's supersonic tour does not exist on video, for the good reason that there was never an on-board camera on the Mclaren this year.
Coincidentally, McLaren published a video on Wednesday evening made from video game F1 2017, modified with a VHS aspect and enhanced with commentary by Murray Walker (famous BBC commentator until 2001) to recreate “Magic” Senna’s pole position. It's worth checking out !
The VHS you never had. Together with @ Formula1game, and the voice of #F1, Murray Walker, we present Senna's stunningly quick #MonacoGP qualifying lap from 1988. #LegendaryLaps pic.twitter.com/ZQ0zB0ZmQZ
