The Brawn GP driver set the best time in the first free practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix. This first session is often an opportunity for drivers to test the developments of their single-seaters, which is why the hierarchy is sometimes upset compared to the real capabilities of the single-seaters. Barrichello (1?17??189) is ahead of Massa (1?17??499) and Hamilton (1'17"578).
