Movistar+ will retain the broadcast rights to the Grands Prix of F1 in Spain for the next three seasons. The Telefonica Mobiles channel, which has been involved with the premier single-seater discipline since 2014, will be able to broadcast the three practice sessions, qualifying sessions and races and will be able to increase its broadcasting on digital platforms. A special channel, Movistar F1, is dedicated solely to this Championship.
“Spain is one of our biggest markets and, thanks to this partnership, Spanish audiences will still be able to enjoy the show”, commented Ian Holmes, F1's director of media rights.
