New free practice session for Nyck de Vries in Mexico

While waiting for the start of his contract with Alpha Tauri, Nyck de Vries continue to work for Mercedes. Reserve driver for the German team, the Dutchman will have the opportunity to sit aboard the W13 this weekend for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Batavian will indeed replace George Russell during the first free practice session in the Mexican capital.

This is not the first time that Nyck de Vries has been invited to take part in the first free practice sessions of a Grand Prix weekend. Last April, he drove for Williams in Barcelona before doing the same for Mercedes in France and for Aston Martin in Monza more recently. He was then called to the rescue by Williams to compensate for Alex's loss. Albon (appendicitis) before finishing 9th for his first Grand Prix.
