The French were eliminated in Q2 of the Singapore GP. Esteban Ocon (Force India) fails in 14th place, two places behind his teammate Sergio Pérez, while Romain Grosjean (Haas) must be satisfied with 15th place. Jolyon Palmer (Renault) was the first eliminated with a little more than two tenths behind Carlos Sainz Jr. (Toro Rosso). Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) is 13th.
The Red Bull were again the fastest. Max Verstappen achieved the new lap record with a time of 1'40''332, half a tenth ahead of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo the Ferrari are the closest with Kimi Räikkönen 3rd ahead of his teammate Sebastian Vettel. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) is only fifth while his teammate Valtteri Bottas is eighth behind Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren) and Nico Hulkenberg (renault).
