Australia is slowly preparing to host the first round of the season. Formula 1 in just over a week and Oscar piastri is currently finalizing the final details before starting his third season in Formula 1. In Melbourne, the driver McLaren will be the local of the stage with Jack Doohan, the other Australian on the grid.
To celebrate his third home race in the premier class, Piastri has unveiled a special helmet in the colours of Australia. The Melbourne native will be wearing a helmet that features his traditional pattern, but with different colours. The red disappears in favour of green and the yellow changes from fluorescent to a more classic shade: the colours of Australia.
Oscar Piastri's helmet is decorated with flags from his home country and designs representing Australia, including kangaroos. On home soil, Oscar Piastri will be keen to reach the podium, something none of his compatriots have managed to do so far in 38 editions of the event, which has been held eleven times in Adelaide and twenty-seven times in Melbourne.
