As indicated Sky Sports, Paddy Lowe, executive director of technology at Mercedes AMG F1, would have left his position within the reigning world champion team, to head towards Williams, a team where he officiated between the late 80s and early 90s.
The transfer of Paddy Lowe from Mercedes to Williams, which includes the German Power Unit, had already been mentioned at the end of last year. The links between the two structures have been increasingly close for several weeks, since Valtteri Bottas is regularly announced as the possible replacement for Nico Rosberg.
According to the British channel, Mercedes did not wish to comment.
