Scrutinizing engine part changes has become a habit in this second part of the season. In Austin Sergio Perez (Red Bull) and Guanyu-Zhou (Alfa Romeo) decided to fit a fourth internal combustion engine for the United States Grand Prix. As a result, the two men will each receive five penalty places on the grid on Sunday, at the start of the race (21 p.m. French time).
Max Verstappen changed his exhaust system for the 6th time this season, but he will not be penalized since he has a pool of eight units available. No news yet Charles Leclerc, while our Italian colleagues affirmed that he would start at the back of the grid due to a potential new change of power unit. Replaced in EL1 by Robert Shwartzman, Ferrari obviously did not touch Leclerc's engine. It remains to be seen whether a change will be made in EL2 (this Friday evening at midnight) or in EL3 (Saturday, 21 p.m.).
