Ranked 12th in Baku, Pierre Gasly widely commented on his battle with Kevin Magnussen (Haas) during the final restart of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The pilot Toro Rosso and the Dane were thus involved in an incident, Magnussen being penalized ten seconds and two points on his license.
"Kevin is the most dangerous guy I've ever raced with, proclaims Gasly, quoted by Sky Sports F1. He literally put me into the wall at 300 km/h on the restart and completely ruined my race. Both my front wheels came off, my right side mirror broke and it twisted my steering. After that, I tried to survive until the end of the race. »
Magnussen said he had vibrations that prevented him from seeing the Frenchman in his mirrors. Video of the incident can be viewed here.
