As in previous years, the Italian manufacturer, exclusive supplier of the world championship of Formula 1, has opted for its three hardest compounds – C1, C2, C3 – for the British Grand Prix which will take place this year from July 12-14.

As a reminder, Pirelli chooses three types of dry track tires ahead of each competition weekend. Among the 13 sets made available per driver, a set of the softest tire (C3 in the case of Silverstone) must be set aside for the third phase of qualifying (Q3).

Pirelli also obliges to keep two specific sets for the race – there a set of mediums (C2) and a set of hard ones (C1). The choice of the 10 remaining trains is completely free. The teams must make their selection known eight weeks before the European Grands Prix and 14 weeks before races outside the Old Continent.
