The Pirelli Motorsport development team began its testing program on Wednesday with a view to supplying tires for the 2019 season of Formula 1. On the Paul-Ricard circuit in Var, future McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris accomplished a whopping 140 laps. The objective of the Italian manufacturer is to develop the Rain compounds (intermediate and maxi rain) for next season, thanks to the artificial watering of the Castellet track.
Good evening at @PaulRicardTrack ! Day 1 is #F1Testing finished with 140 laps completed by @LandoNorris driving for @McLarenF1. Our 2019 wet tire development program will continue tomorrow, with no changes in the line-up. #Fit4F1Testing # Fit4F1 pic.twitter.com/Qk9joiprJS
