Mario Isola, manager F1 at Pirelli, confirmed in the wake of the second week of F1 2019 winter testing, the first differences seen between the different compounds provided by the Italian manufacturer.
Pirelli indicated a gap of approximately 0″6 to 0″7 between the tires on the Barcelona track, but a gap which could change depending on the track.
“At the moment we are seeing a gap of around 0″6 to 0″7 seconds between each of the compounds seen on track in Barcelona, which should translate to a target of around 0″9 seconds on a longer circuit and in hot weather. » underlines Isola.
