Eight drivers made a gearbox change before the Brazilian Grand Prix this Sunday. Esteban Ocon (Force India), Felipe Massa (Williams), Romain Grosjean (Haas) and Pascal Wehrlein (Sauber) will benefit from a new element after completing six consecutive races with their previous gearbox. This replacement will therefore not result in any sanction on the grid.
To Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull), Brendon Hartley (Toro Rosso), Carlos Sainz (Renault) and Marcus Ericsson (Sauber), who did not finish the Mexican race, the installation of a new box will not involve a penalty either.
