Despite Michelin's discussions with the F1 teams last weekend in Istanbul, Pirelli should indeed be chosen as the sole tire manufacturer from the 2011 season. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the final touches are being made at the end of week of the contract to unite Pirelli in the World Championship Formula 1. In addition, the Italian newspaper states that the Technical Commission has looked into the SREC (kinetic energy recovery system) file to reintroduce it next season, according to the wishes of Jean Todt (see elsewhere).
