At the wheel of his Williams FW 33, Rubens Barrichello set the seventh best time of this first day of testing in Barcelona. The Brazilian is disappointed not to have been able to complete many laps on a dry track following a problem with his V8 Cosworth.
“We did a few laps on a wet track this morning, which was good because it allowed us to see how the car behaves with the intermediate tires, Barrichello explains. Unfortunately, we weren't able to ride much in the dry. I did a short run after lunch, but we had to change the engine as a precaution, which cut my day short. »
Tomorrow, Rubens Barrichello will be back on track, before handing over the seat to his Venezuelan teammate Pastor Maldonando.
