The four-time F1 world champion spoke on Europe 1 ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix. Alain Prost notably returned to the possible emergence of a talented French driver in Formula 1 :
« For now, we have Sébastien Bourdais who is there in Formula 1. That?s at least that. We have Romain Grosjean, which is Franco-Swiss, who wins in GP2, who will perhaps be there next year. But it?s true that we are still waiting for the talented driver who is unanimously acclaimed from the start. karting and promotional formulas. We don't have the solid foundations to spot it. We have a multitude of championships. Below F1, there are 8 to 9 championships that coexist. It is not possible to find the top driver with this system. »
