Jenson Button set the tone for these qualifications by setting the best time in Q1. In 1’35”533, the Brawn GP driver set the best time of the weekend. Barrichello is positioned 2/10th of his teammate ahead of Webber, Hamilton, Roberg, Raikkonen, Massa and Buemi.
Those eliminated from this first session are Bourdais, Piquet, Kubica, Sutil and Fisichella.
