input, the 15 drivers remaining in this Dutch Grand Prix qualifying session went out on the track with soft tires. Home, Max Verstappen signed a first time under 1:10 with a 1:09.071. During the Free Trials 3, the Dutchman seemed to be the only one to go below this bar, but this time he was joined by Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) and Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri), in front of Mercedes only in fourth and fifth rows. Mid-session, George Russell (Williams), Lance stroll (Aston Martin), Lando Norris (McLaren), Nicholas latifi (Williams) and Yuki tsunoda (AlphaTauri) were in the eliminated zone.

Hero of qualifying at Spa, Russell spun at the end of his lap and hit the wall with the rear of his Williams. The red flag was raised but the Briton managed to leave to return to the pits. Her car was restored to allow him to try his luck again. The session was restarted with just under four minutes on the clock. A decidedly complicated Q2 for the British team because Nicholas Latifi also lost control of his Williams and ended up in the wall. The driver emerged from his car unscathed but a new red flag was raised, ending this session. Russell, Stroll, Norris, Latifi and Tsunoda therefore stop in Q2 in these qualifications.
