Pastor Maldonado (Williams) qualifies for the first time in Q3. Heikki Kovalainen finished in a good 15th place. The single-seaters of Toro Rosso, Sauber and Force India did not qualify for the final qualifying session.
Sebastian Vettel was the author of the best time in the second session with a time of 1:21:540.
