Mark Webber (Red Bull) will start from pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Australian had the best time in Q3, third phase of the Sepang qualifying session (1:49:327). He beat Nico Rosberg (Mercedes), Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull), Adrian Sutil (Force India), Nico Hulkenberg (Williams), Robert Kubica (Renault), Rubens Barrichello (Williams), Michael Schumacher (Mercedes), Kamui Kobayashi (Sauber) and Tonio Liuzzi (Force India).
