The two teams, which currently have very different results in Formula 1, have in common that they have an engine Renault. Fabrice Lom, in charge of the Renault program at Red Bull, declared on RMC that Dietrich Mateschitz's team was entitled to the same treatment as that of the French manufacturer: “ Engine engineers and mechanics work in complete transparency, information on the engines is shared in the same way in both teams ».
