Red Bull Racing, who ran the RB6 with its new F-duct on Friday, could have found an original solution for activating this system allowing a speed gain in a straight line. According to indiscreet observations, it seems that the pilot, by blocking a hole with his hand, allows the opening of a valve leading to the activation of the F-duct. This valve, and therefore the entrance to the channel routing the air towards the rear of the car, would be located inside the large engine air intake placed above the pilot's head. Thus, the air flow runs in a narrow duct parallel to the larger one leading to the engine for cooling the latter.
