Already in 2009, the engine Renault had the reputation of being the most economical of the engines used in F1, face aux blocs Toyota, Mercedes et Ferrari. This weekend, in Bahrain, Sam Michael, technical director of Williams, confirmed to the BBC that the engine of Viry-Chatillon was the most fuel efficient, efforts having been made in this area during the winter. According to Michael, Renault is ahead of Mercedes and Cosworth, while the Ferrari block is the most greedy.
