La F1 has always occupied an important place in the mind of David Richards, boss of Prodrive, but also of?Aston Martin and Aston Martin Racing. At the head of Benetton then BAR, Richards never hid his wildest dream, to field an F1 car under the colors of Prodrive. The aborted attempt in 2008 did not discourage him.
Seduced by the new regulations and the new hierarchy, Ari Vatanen?s former co-driver confirmed today that the arrival of Prodrive in F1 cannot be ruled out. Prodrive is currently studying the issue, in order to implement an economically viable and competitive project.
