Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton opted for identical tire choices at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix held on November 27 at the Yas Marina circuit. The pilots Mercedes retained 4 sets of soft tires, 2 sets of super soft tires and 7 sets of ultra soft tires.
The pilots Ferrari also selected 7 sets of purple sidewall tires but Kimi Räikkönen selected a set of super soft tires compared to Sebastian Vettel. The pilots Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen made the same choice with 5 sets of soft tires, 2 of super soft and 6 of ultra soft.
