The British Brawn GP team, financially aided by the FIA for its entry into the 2009 championship, would have received a visit from an emissary from Max Mosley. Ross Brawn would have been ordered to enter his team in the 2010 championship, in return for early season aid from the FIA. According to TF1, Ross Brawn, rather than giving in to these threats, would go see his counterparts from other teams to inform them of this visit.
