Sakon Yamamoto, former driver of the Spyker and Super Aguri teams, will join Hispania Racing Team to support him in the development of his car. The 27-year-old Japanese will ride, like Paul di Resta at Force India, on the Friday of Grand Prix weekends. HRT hopes to have a solid database in order to be able to improve the performance of the car. Colin Kolles recently admitted that he wanted to recruit a third experienced driver. The names of Christian Klien and Giancarlo Fisichella had been put forward. Finally, it was Sakon Yamamoto, who took part in 14 Grands Prix of Formula 1 in his career, which will ride with HRT.
