Driver brought in to support the marshals during the last Hungarian Grand Prix, Derek Warwick declared on Radio 5 Live that Michael Schumacher had passed very close to the black flag. The German was not disqualified because the event was about to end.

“Having the black flag would have been a better example for our young drivers, says the Briton. But by the time we watched the video, we ran out of time. So we gave him a sanction after the race. If there were enough laps left we would have disqualified him, but you have to have the video proof and be sure that all four stewards agree. 10 place penalty on the grid at Spa is a good sanction. It's as if we had knocked him out of the race. I hope he will draw the consequences. The new commissioners (the former drivers, editor’s note) will not tolerate this kind of behavior. »
