While it has the latest developments, Kevin Magnussen (Haas) is the first eliminated from Q1 at the British GP at Silverstone. The Dane failed by a hundredth of a second from Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) who saved his place in Q2 at the very end of the session. Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) follows in 17th place in front Lance stroll (Racing Point) and Williams by George Russell and Robert Kubica.
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) set the new lap record with a time of 1'25''513, 2 hundredths ahead of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) which was the only one on medium tires. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) followed by almost 2 tenths, ahead of Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and the McLaren de Lando Norris et Carlos Sainz Jr. Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) finished 8th ahead Romain Grosjean (Haas).
