Fernando Alonso must retire during the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. Due to an initial shock during the first corner of the race, the Spanish driver cannot count on a securely fixed wheel. Renault prefers to play it safe, while Fernando Alonso had already lost a wheel in Hungary.
A few laps earlier, Jarno Trulli also had to retire.
With 18 laps to go, Räkkönen still leads the race, ahead of Fisichella, Kubica, Hag, Heidfeld.
