Susie Wolff supports Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton after Abu Dhabi affair

Moments before her husband's press conference Toto wolff (boss of Mercedes F1), the former Director of the Venturi team in Formula E, Susie Wolff posted an offensive message of support towards Lewis Hamilton and the mark with the Star, defeated following'an incredible end to the race in Abu Dhabi.

“Before the race weekend in Abu Dhabi, I thought that both teams (Red Bull and Mercedes) and the two drivers (Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton) deserved to win. This was going to be a spectacle, a historic race that we all hoped would end without controversy. It was not the case. What happened is still difficult to understand and leaves me a feeling of unease.

Not the losers – and not Max or Red Bull – they are deserving winners and we always knew there was a strong possibility we wouldn't win – but the way Lewis was stolen left me in complete disbelief. The decision of one person within the governing body who applied a rule in a way that had never been done before in F1 single-handedly decided the F1 World Drivers' Championship. Rules are rules, they cannot be changed on a whim by a single individual at the end of a race.

Lewis, you have shown incredible integrity and dignity in the face of injustice. You are the greatest that ever lived. The results of the last laps on Sunday? Those who know, they know, even those who can't quite admit it. Congratulations Max and congratulations to each member of Mercedes F1 for the eighth Constructors' title. I hope that by March next year there will be a governing body with sporting integrity and fairness so I can fall in love with F1 again. »
