Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) comes out in fifth place ahead of his teammate Felipe Massa after his second pit stop. Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) now has a lead of 10 seconds over Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), still fighting with Mark Webber (Red Bull) for 2nd place. Jenson Button (McLaren) took the opportunity to come back on the Australian. Fernando Alonso can still hope for a podium, the Asturian is currently the fastest on the track.
Behind the Ferrari drivers, Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) still occupies seventh place ahead of Jaime Alguersuari (Toro Rosso), Paul di Resta (Force India) and Sébastien Buemi (Toro Rosso). Tire degradation does not appear to be as significant as expected, with most drivers likely having made their last stop.
