Mark Webber (Red Bull) managed to exceed Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), but the Briton managed to regain his position at turn 3 using his DRS. Jenson Button (McLaren) comes back to within a second of the Australian and is now able to activate his DRS to get a place on the podium.
Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) still has a comfortable lead at the head of the race, with the world champion more than 12 seconds ahead of his nearest rival. Sébastien Buemi (Toro Rosso) overtakes Paul di Resta (Force India) to gain 9th place and finds himself behind his teammate Jaime Alguersuari.
