Great first Yuki tsunoda. The pilot Alpha Tauri will take part in his first Japanese Grand Prix in Formula 1 this weekend, in Suzuka (October 7-9). To celebrate his national event, the native of Sagamihara will wear a helmet with a unique design. Inspired by Japanese art, it will be decorated with several references to the land of the Rising Sun: cherry blossoms on a white background, a blue koi carp – symbol of courage, perseverance and determination in Asia – as well as a number 22 written on a red circle, to recall the flag of Japan.

For the return of the Japanese Grand Prix, absent from the calendar since 2019, Yuki Tsunoda wanted to celebrate his home race. He will become the first Japanese to race at Suzuka since Kamui Kobayashi, in 2014. The AlphaTauri driver is aiming for a return to the points, 5 months after his last Top 10: it was in Barcelona, mid-May.
