In difficulty on a dry track during free practice in Istanbul (Türkiye), Esteban Ocon (Renault) is transfigured in the rain. The Frenchman achieved the best performance in extremely slippery conditions in Q1, ahead of Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) and Lance stroll (Racing Point) before Race Direction raised the red flag 6’56” from the end of Q1.
For the moment, Charles Leclerc (Ferrari, 16th) would be eliminated, as would the French Romain Grosjean (Haas, 17th) and Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri, 18th) and the Williams by George Russell and Nicholas latifi.
The session will resume once the FIA notes an improvement in track conditions.
