Formula One Management and LG have issued a short press release to explain the general data outage that occurred in the final seconds of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

“In the final minutes of the third part of the qualifying session, the finish line sensor had a problem due to a damaged cable. The standard procedure was applied with a backup sensor. As soon as the checks were completed, the results were published. »

“At no time was the data lost,” the press release specifies.
