The green number 63 on the Mercedes W14 by George Russell now takes on its full meaning. Just before the start of Free Practice 1 of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the Briton unveiled the final version of his helmet for the 2023 season. After the electric blue used in 2022, the winner of the Brazilian GP will wear green this year. A very pronounced green design, which should contrast with the black dress of its car.

The choice of green is not insignificant: during its debut in karting, in 2006, George Russell used a green helmet. “This year I'm trying something different by going back to the design of my very first helmet, he said in a video posted on his social networks. It takes me back to my roots. » Apart from the green color, we find the same design as last year, with black stripes and the number 63 on both sides of the helmet.
