In addition to having developed one of the best cars in the 2010 field of Formula 1, Red Bull Racing brought some of its technology to the development of a prototype in the fifth part of Gran Turismo (PlayStation), which will be released in November. The developers of Polyphony Digital wanted to integrate an extraordinary model into GT5, they called on Adrian Newey, designer and designer of Red Bull Racing F1 cars. This is how the “Prototype X1” was born (see photos), whose Sebastian Vettel tested the settings. The young German, at the wheel of this car virtual, thus beat by twenty seconds the reference time previously established on the Suzuka circuit (Japan).

An ultra-fast and innovative car in its design, the “Prototype X1” is the fruit of the wildest dreams of Adrian Newey, delighted to have made his contribution to this ambitious project. “ We all dream of pushing the limits and escaping conventions thanks to the performance of a car and the experience of its driver. It is only with the technology of PlayStation®3 and the virtual environment of Gran Turismo 5 that this dream will become a reality felt by millions of people. It’s this same ambition that brought Red Bull Racing and Polyphony together for this project and as a result, the Prototype X1 is incredible to drive. », explains the engineer.
