This weekend was clearly an opportunity to remember good memories for Valtteri Bottas. On his Instagram account, the Finnish driver posted some pictures where we can see him again at the wheel of the Mercedes W11 on the Castellet circuit. In the rain, the former Sauber driver was able to rediscover sensations he has certainly not experienced since these five more difficult years.

Without a doubt, 2020 was one of the richest years for Mercedes in Formula 1. Crowned with a seventh consecutive title as constructor, Barkley's team had seen Lewis Hamilton also win his seventh World Drivers' Championship. With a hegemonic total of 347 points, the Briton had surpassed his teammate Valtteri Bottas, runner-up with 223 points. Last April, Lewis Hamilton did not hesitate to describe the 2020 season as "best year" lived alongside the Mercedes team.

Now, the seven-time world champion is probably living his last adventure in Formula 1 with Ferrari, while Valtteri Bottas has made his return with Mercedes. Third driver behind Kimi Andrea Antonelli and George Russell, the one who wears the number 77 could also be brought in to take the wheel of the McLaren MCL39 in case of failure ofOscar piastri or Lando NorrisLast March, the Finn took the wheel of the 60 MCL2023 for Barcelona.

The only mustachioed, mullet-haired man in the 2025 paddock who's doing a few laps of the Paul Ricard circuit in the 11 W2020... for what purpose? A W11 is light years ahead of current ground-effect single-seaters!
