Vettel escapes sanction

Comment

Sebastian Vettel was not sanctioned by the race stewards of the Malaysian Grand Prix. The pilot Red Bull had shown himself "guilty" of having overtaken a slower driver, Jarno Trulli (Lotus), while the yellow flag was waved due to the abandonment of Fernando Alonso (Classic Ferrari for sale), at the end of the race. The commissioners decided not to impose any sanctions on him, having noted that the German driver had nonetheless slowed down significantly in the area concerned. Sebastian Vettel probably has to thank Johnny Herbert, former driver of F1 and fourth commissioner this weekend at Sepang.
