The stewards of the Mexican Grand Prix have delivered their verdict in the incident between Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull). The German driver was found guilty of changing direction while braking in front of the driver of Milton Keynes at turn 4.
10″ were added to the race time of the quadruple world champion, who therefore lost his podium and fell to fifth place behind Max Verstappen, initially dropped from third place for having gained an advantage against Vettel by going off-course. Daniel Ricciardo inherits the last step of the podium.
