Sebastian Vettel don't forget where it comes from. The German pilot began his career in car thanks to the support of Red Bull, becoming one of the first drivers recruited into the Austrian brand's Junior Team. Raised in the bosom of Dietrich Mateschitz, the native of Heppenheim rose through the ranks to Formula 1 and four world titles. Today driver for the team Aston Martin, Sebastian Vettel wanted to pay tribute to the man who propelled him to the top.

For the Mexico Grand Prix, the German will wear a special “Red Bull” helmet, which takes up the design of the helmet from his first year of collaboration with the Mateschitz firm, in 1998. In the colors of the energy drink cans, the helmet also features the Red Bull logos – which might be surprising since Red Bull is a competitor of Aston Martin in F1 – as well as an inscription: “Danke Didi!” (Thank you Didi!), Didi being the affectionate nickname of Dietrich Mateschitz.

Arriving in Formula 1 in 2007 with BMW Sauber, Vettel then took the wheel of the Toro Rosso in 2008. He was the first Red Bull driver to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix, at Monza in 2008. Promoted to the parent team in 2009, the German had experienced a success story with the Austrian team with undivided domination between 2010 and 2013, winning 8 world titles (4 for Vettel, 4 for Red Bull). The adventure between Vettel and Red Bull ended at the end of the 2014 season.
