Jack Doohan's replacement at AlpineFranco Colapinto did not show off in the best possible way during qualifying for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix held this Saturday at Imola. The Argentinian driver made a mistake at the exit of the first chicane, his car crashing into the tire wall at Tamburello. An accident that occurred at the very end of Q1, when he was in 14th place in the standings. The driver is fine and has officially qualified for Q2, but the former team member Williams will not be able to participate in the second phase of this session and will probably start at the back of the grid or from the pit lane this Sunday at 15:00 p.m. This is the second major crash of this session after Yuki Tsunoda's in the very first minutes.

Looking forward to Brille A Tort's results after the 5 GPs, even if the King of Cheaters says the opposite! Colapinto had a great crash with a car in a condition close to that of Doohan's crash in Japan... Is the Argentinian in line with his "crash score" from 2024? If he wants to continue in F1, it would be better for him if the damage stopped there, but the next GP will be Monaco, where it often affects even the best.
