In a simple free practice session 2 dedicated to the Pirelli 2023 tests, Charles Leclerc would it have significantly marred his weekend? On a track that is still very slippery, the Monegasque was indeed guilty of losing control of his car in turn 7, at the same place where Max Verstappen had a big scare (ultimately without consequences) in Free Practice 1.
The pilot Ferrari lost the rear, before going to embed his F1-75 in the barriers, on the right. Given the low speed and low impact, the damage looked quite enormous, especially to the rear. Was the gearbox damaged? Will the engine, new since the United States Grand Prix last week, need to be changed? Ferrari will have the evening to analyze all this. In the meantime, here are the images of the crash.
