After almost thirty minutes of suspension due to rain, the start of the sprint race in Miami was finally given. On pole, the young Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) gave up his place at the first bend to the championship leader F1, Oscar piastriThe Australian, who took the best line on a drying track, then took off, followed by his teammate at McLaren, Lando Norris.
Antonelli also resigned himself to letting Max Vertsappen pass, also on the first lap of this sprint race.
