At the Qatar Grand Prix this weekend, Fernando Alonso finished in 3rd place behind Lewis Hamilton et Max Verstappen. To find an image of the driver Alpine on a podium in F1, we have to go back seven years. During the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2014, the Spaniard drove at Ferrari and finished in 2nd place, behind Daniel Ricciardo who signed his second career success. In the history of the discipline, the Bull of Asturias and the second driver to have waited this long before getting back on a podium (7 years, 3 months and 25 days). The record is held by Alexander Wurz, who, between the British Grand Prix in 1997 and that of San Marino in 2005, i.e. 7 years 9 months and 11 days, had not had a podium.
