Mark Webber (Red Bull) has just experienced a very spectacular accident (see video). While he changed tires very early, the Australian started back at the back of the peloton. While trying to overtake Heikki Kovalainen, Mark Webber crashed into the Finn's Lotus. He destroyed Kovalainen's rear wing and took off onto the Finn's right rear wheel. His Red Bull went into the air, did a loop, fell onto its roof, before getting back on its wheels and ending up in a wall of tires. Mark Webber is fine. He quickly got out of his car, which was destroyed but which survived the crash well.

The safety car is out and almost all the drivers have pitted to switch to hard tyres. As for Michael Schumacher, started on hard tires, he has just put on soft tires. But the German having had to wait for the pitlane light to turn green, he left behind the peloton.
