For Mark Webber, Red Bull Racing has no intention of favoring Max Verstappen in 2018 at the expense of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian, who defended the colors of the Austrian team from 2007 to 2013, believes that his former team will favor the best placed driver even if the 2015 champion of the WEC suffered from the presence of Sebastian Vettel in his last years in F1.
“Red Bull will support the driver who is at the top of the Championship and who runs the business, he commented on Fox Sports. Daniel is in a good position because he is a pure Red Bull product. I don't think Helmut (Marko, the team advisor responsible for the young driver sector) would be disappointed to see Daniel world champion. But he also loves Max. They are both his favorite drivers. »
