Will this be the right year for you? Mercedes-AMG? The German team, like the majority of German manufacturers, will once again be present at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. The 53rd edition will take place one week after the 24H of Le Mans, from June 19 to 22.
The brand with the star will thus field four cars in this legendary event. First, two Mercedes-AMG GT3s will be entered by Team GetSpeed in the main SP9 PRO category. The No. 14 will be driven by Maro Engel, Maxime Martin, Fabian Schiller, and Luca Stolz. It will sport a Bilstein livery. Ralf Aron, Lucas Auer, Adam Christodoulou, and Mikaël Grenier will be at the wheel of the No. 17.
Additionally, the third GT3 will be entered in SP9 PRO-AM by the SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm team. Bearing the number 11, it will be driven by Kenneth Heyer, Jannes Fittje, and Jay Mo Härtling. Finally, the last Mercedes entry will be a GT4 in the SP10 category. The four drivers to take the wheel are Tim Neuser, Reinhold Renger, David Thilenius, and Guido Wirtz.

Clear objective for Mercedes-AMG: overall victory
"We are going to the Nürburgring with great ambition and a clear objective: to achieve Mercedes-AMG's third overall victory.", says Christoph Sagemüller, head of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, in a press release reported by Dailysportscar.com.
“Since our quadruple in 2016, we have repeatedly proven our competitiveness with our Mercedes-AMG GT3, strong driver line-ups and well-thought-out race strategies.”, continues the German leader.
"We've always been a serious contender and have underlined this impressively with numerous podium finishes. But it's been nine years since we last won the overall standings. It's time to change that.", he finally says.
