At 20, Morris Schuring becomes an official Porsche driver

2024 season revealed in WEC, in the LMGT3 category, Morris Schuring moves up the ranks at PorscheThe 20-year-old Dutchman has obtained the status of Porsche Contracted Driver and will therefore join the German manufacturer in 2025. A logical promotion given his results in 2024: with Manthey EMA, alongside his teammates Richard Lietz and Yasser Shahin, Morris Schuring finished vice-world champion in the category and, above all, won the 24H of Le Mans, thus becoming the second youngest winner in the history of the Sarthe event in all categories (behind Julien Andlauer).

“Since I was very young, I have dreamed of being able to race for Porsche ever since my father raced on the Nordschleife in a Porsche, Morris Schuring recalls. When I started the karting, my goal was also to be able to drive Porsches myself. That is also the main reason why I did not choose single-seaters, but instead opted for GTs and the Porsche championships straight away. It is fantastic that the relationship with Porsche has led to an official contract! It is a great honour to follow in the footsteps of someone like Gijs van Lennep. I will do everything in my power to live up to the trust that Porsche has placed in me. Morris Schuring will make his debut in DTM this season, still with Manthey EMA. The rest of his program is still unknown.
